Although Sanam has been evicted from the reality show, she has garnered a lot of fans as a result who have supported her throughout the journey. In a recent interview with The Times of India, Sanam was asked about her interest in Bigg Boss to which she said, “People always knew me as a model. Despite doing close to 20 films in different languages, I felt I didn’t get recognition as an actress. That was one of the reasons why I wanted to be part of Bigg Boss Tamil because this show gives you worldwide visibility in a short span of time. Now, after coming out of the house, I am quite satisfied with my experiences and the fame I have received. I feel I’ve utilised the opportunity and time wisely.”
She further believed that the reality show has changed the way the people of Tamil Nadu have perceived her after Bigg Boss. “The news about me and the contestant from the previous season (Tharshan) was received with mixed response. Though I had received support from some quarters, there was a bit of confusion as well. Many didn’t like the fact that I came out openly and spoke about my personal issues. There were some people who believed that everything about me was fake. But I’m sure they now understand why I did certain things when I was affected. I have to thank people for standing by me. The kind of love and support I’m receiving now is beyond my expectations. I will be grateful to Tamil people across the world forever for the lovely hashtags they had put up on social media supporting me.”
On the professional front, Sanam has two film releases in the pipeline titled Ethirvinaiyaatru and Parthiban. Sanam wants to do roles that are powerful and impactful and are hearing scripts accordingly.
