After Mahanati, Keerthy Suresh Signs Her Next Telugu Film!!

Exciting!

After a rather fulfilling year in 2018, Keerthy Suresh has begun her year by signing her next film. A Telugu one, her first since Mahanati. The actress’ next film is being directed by a debutant namd Naredranath and while there is no title yet, it’s clear that it will have her as the protagonist.

The film was officially launched on Friday in Hyderabad, with Keerthy making a few statements on her new project. “This will be my first film after Mahanati in Telugu and I’m glad that I’m part of this women-oriented film. Every girl will connect with my role and most of the shooting will happen in the US. Director Narendra has penned a great story and I’m sure the audience will like it,” she said, speaking at the launch.

The actress wore a gorgeous white-gold ensemble with a yellow-gold dupatta and her hair in beach waves, with chandelier-like earrings to go. Here are some of the pictures of her look:

Keerthy Suresh was last seen in Vijay’s Sarkar. The film wasn’t much to begin with, and her role went nothing beyond following the hero. While she proved her mettle and acting prowess in the Savitri biopic Mahanati/Nadigaiyar Thilagam, her subsequent films were rather disappointing. She starred in Saamy 2, a film that bombed at the box office, and then featured in Sandakozhi 2, another film that did little to uplift her as an actress. She also had a cameo in Sivakarthikeyan’s Seema Raja but that film flopped too. Sarkar, albeit a hit, had little of her and the whole film was embroiled in a controversy. While she hadn’t signed any major films later, this Telugu film will be a women-centric one with her at the forefront of it.
