Priya Anand and RJ Balaji’s weirdly adorable chemistry in the political satire LKG was welcomed by the audience. The duo’s equal role and power-packed punches never failed to crack up its viewers. Well, looks like it that the couple is getting back together for yet another thrilling entertainer together. RJ Balaji has only recently confirmed that he would be writing, directing, and starring in the remake of Ayushmann Khurana starrer Badhaai Ho also starring Neena Gupta in the lead.

The film had Sanya Malhotra as the female lead which will see Priya Anand reprise. While Sathyaraj is being considered the role of the father, Neena Gupta’s role is yet to be searched for. During a recent interview with The Times of India, RJ Balaji stated, “After doing a political satire and a devotional film, I felt a family drama would be an ideal genre for me at this stage. I am currently writing the film. I am planning on altering some elements in the original script to suit our audiences.”

However, Priya Anand has only been approached and a confirmation is expected shortly.

Apart from commercial success, ‘Badhaai Ho’ had also won several prestigious awards including National Award, and Filmfare Award.
