In professional front, it was rumoured that the actress plays the role of Kunthavai in the film and is said to be paired up with Karthi, who plays the role of Vandiyadevan. The film is looking at a 2021 release and features various actors including Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Vikram, Vikram Prabhu, Aditi Rao Hydari and Shobhita Dhulipala.
Trisha’s last leading role was in the hit romantics film 96 along with Vijay Setthupati. Her sole release in 2019 was the Rajinikanth starrer Petta.
