Actress Rambha, born Vijayalakshmi, is a famous Kollywood actress who is known for her films in the 90s. She started her Tamil film career with Ullathai Allitha in 1993. Before that, she already started working on a number of Telugu films with Aa Okkati Adakku in 1992. She has acted in more than 50 films in Tamil, Telugu, Bhojpuri, Bengali, Hindi Malayalam and Kannada languages. She got married to Indrakumar Pathmanathan, a Canada-based Sri Lankan Tamil businessman, on 8 April 2010. After her marriage, she settled along with her Husband in Toronto and quit her acting career to focus on her family. She has 2 daughters and a son.

Yesterday, the actress apparently met with a minor accident while she drove her kids back home from school. The Arunachalam actress revealed that they all suffered minor injuries and that they are safe. However, her daughter Sasha is still in the hospital.  Her friends from the film fraternity including actress Sneha, Radikaa Sarathkumar, Sridevi Vijayakumar and Kiki Vijay sent their prayers.

Sharing pictures of her car and her daughter in the hospital, actress Rambha wrote, “Our car was hit by another car at an intersection way back from picking kids from school! “Me with kids and my nanny “All of us are safe with minor injuries 😔 my little Sasha is still in the hospital 😞bad days bad time 😪😰please pray for us 🙏 your prayers mean a lot 🙏#pray #celebrity #accident”

Rambha was last seen in Pen Singam in Tamil in 2010. She then participated in many reality TV shows as a judge. Some of them include, Maanada Mayilaada, Dhee Ultimate Dance Show, BAck To School, Jodi Number One and Kings of Comedy Junior.
