After a brief hiatus post her marriage to Dubai based businessman – Mustafa Raj, the former multilingual actress and model is all set to take on the powerful role in the upcoming Telegu film. This is great news, especially in a time where a lot of actors tend to retire from the industry and settle once they get hitched. We unfortunately lived in a time when actresses weren’t offered significant roles in films once they tied the knot, as it was assumed that their homely responsibilities would get in the way of their careers. That narrow mindset however, is changing; slowly but surely.
According to sources, the actress will be seen playing a human rights activist alongside the veteran actress- Tabu. Priyamani apparently loved the character arc and immediately agreed to be part of this interesting project. Shooting commences sometime this July. It also stars Sai Pallavi in the lead. Rumour has it that Rana will don the role of a cop and Sai Pallavi will play a Naxalite.
The national award recipient was previously seen in the 2017 Kannada Action-Drama film- Chowka.
