A week ago, actor Revathy took to her Instagram to post about her debut film, Mann Vasanai with a picture of her from the film along with the caption, “Mann Vasanai, my first film in 1983, almost 41 years back. This was the promotion photograph taken that came on the cover of Kunkumam. A Bharathi Rajaa film, Iliaya Rajaa music, written by Panchu Arunachalam, B Kannan cinematography, Lyrics by Gangai Amaran and Panchu Arunachalam… with new faces Revathy and Pandian!!! In 1983, nothing could be bigger. I was blessed and am grateful for all the adoration that the film ran for 365 days in Shanti theatre in Madurai. Those were the days 🙏🏾. Recently, the actor shared another photoshoot picture from her debut film as an actor in Mann Vasanai in 1983 on one slide and her debut role as a director in the film Salaam Venky in 2022 on the other slide, along with the caption, “Mann Vasanai promotional cover page in 1983 and working still from Salaam Venky in 2022.
