Actor Rajinikanth has been hitting the headlines this past week for various reasons. He first won the Dadasaheb Phalke award earlier this week in the 67th National Film Awards Ceremony. He then met the Prime Minister and the President in Delhi. Now, the actor is again in the news as he was admitted to Kauvery Hospital yesterday.
His family members have said that he was admitted only for a ‘routine checkup’. “He is undergoing tests. He is fine and it’s just a regular check-up,” a hospital spokesperson said. Rajinikanth’s wife Latha Rajinikanth, daughter Aishwarya Dhanush and his brother-in-law Ravichander are currently at the hospital. Latha Rajinikanth said, “Nothing to worry,” when asked about his health.
Previously, Rajnikanth was admitted to the hospital in Hyderabad last December, for severe blood pressure fluctuations. The 70-year-old quit politics owing to his poor health back then last year. We are yet to receive an official update on the actor’s health.
