“I’m sure Rashmika’s father must be so happy for her doing a Tamil film because I’m told that he is a big fan of Tamil movies. She wanted to play the role of a pucca village girl and the role Bakkiyaraj had created was perfect for her. She did several things for the role which she never had to do before, like driving a tractor, ploughing, working at paddy fields, and so on. In fact, after a point she said it wasn’t that easy to pull off a village-based role. Bakkiyaraj had carved an interesting character for her; it isn’t just another heroine role,” said Karthi during the trailer launch.
Interestingly enough, this is the first time Rashmika would sport the role of a girl from the village.
Rashmika also has Allu Arjun’s Pushpa in Tollywood after two hits Sarrileru Neekevvaru and Bheeshma in Telugu.
