Fans were left in a frenzy as videos and photos of  actor Ajith with his wife Shalini surfaced online. The couple were spotted in a hospital with face masks, this led fans to express their concern and anxiousness. There has been no confirmation regarding the cause of the hospital visit but fans are praying that there is no bad news.

The actor was recently in the news for his various donations which included  Rs 1.25 crore to the state government, central government, and to FEFSI for COVID-19 relief. The actor had also deposited Rs 2.5 lakh into the bank account of Film Journalists’ Association to help them combat the lockdown.
Like everyone else in the industry Ajiths film too has been put on hold due to the lockdown. The actors upcoming film Valimai is said to begin filming once the restrictions on film shootings are lifted.

Ajith Kumar was last seen in Boney Kapoors first Tamil film Nerkonda Paarvai, directed by H Vinoth. The actors upcoming film, titled Valimai, is also directed by H Vinoth and produced by Boney Kapoor. although there is no confirmation regarding the rest of the cast, reports said that there will be three lead female roles. Yami Gautham, Huma Qureshi, Ileana D’cruz are reported to be a part of the film. Yogi babu is said to play the role of sidekick in the film.
