Music legend A.R.Rahman shared with his fans today, that he’ll fast tomorrow in support of the huge movement against the ban of Jallikattu. Chennai’s Marina beach is thronged by youngsters from across the southern state of Tamil Nadu. Since Tuesday, lawyers, IT professionals, students and people across all fields of life have come together to support what they call, a 4000-year-old tradition.
Though the protests have been peaceful, social media expects it to get a little fierce if any force is used against the thousands of youngsters camping at the Marina. Among other stars who are in support of Jallikattu are Suriya, Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathy, Anurag Kashyap, Kamal Haasan and many others.

Social media is abuzz with support for the end of the ban and many are also against the tradition citing animal cruelty. While reports suggest that the Prime Minister’s office will not interfere with the Supreme Court’s verdict, many believe there may be respite expected in the coming days.
Will the Supreme court look into it?
