Vikram has a Superstar before he forayed into Hindi films. He made his debut with Mani Ratnam’s Raavan. He was cast opposite Aishwarya Rai as the police officer Dev and in Tamil version of the film he played the protagonist Veeraiya. It was incredibly difficult for him to shoot for different characters in the same shoot schedule but, a through professional, Vikram was lauded by Hindi audience for his performance. Vikram then appeared in Bejoy Nambiar’s David as an alcoholic fisherman.
