  One of the best films in Kollywood which portrayed love after marriage in the most beautiful manner! Simran played the character of a young woman who yearns for the love of her husband. Her spontaneous dialogue delivery and natural acting made it completely relatable to most women of the generation.

Vaali

  This romantic-thriller by SJ Surya had every single actor do complete justice to their role and Simran was not an exception. This film showcased her in both modern and traditional outlook. Her dynamic character and bubbly presence was a definite asset to the film.

Varanam Aayiram

  In this super hit flick by Gautam Menon, Simran portrayed the role of a doting wife and mother of Surya. Known to be one of her best off beat roles, it must be mentioned that Simran had handled this role with such perfection. Her character as a friendly and caring mother who stands by her son at all times is the most appreciated of the two.

Kannathil Muthamittal

  This film which portrayed her as the mother to three of which one of them is adopted is by far her best role. The agony of the mother who yearns to be with her daughter while she also tries to re-unite her with her maternal mother cannot be portrayed in any better way.

Thulladha Manamum Thullum

  Her award winning performance as a visually impaired in the film was one of her most critically acclaimed performances. This breezy love story had a lot of scope for Simran to showcase her acting skill and she undeniably did justice to her role. The music was an added asset to the film.

Ramana

  Although she appeared only for a brief part, she made sure that her performance in the film does not go unnoticed. She essayed the role of a pregnant woman who dies along with her daughter in an accident on which the entire film is basically cemented on. Her brief presence definitely evoked a strong sense of emotion among her audience.

Jodi

  The dancing diva made quite an impact with this rather strong love story. This film showcases two lovers who wish to join hands in marriage but only with the consent of their parents. The way she handled the mature character which keeps bouncing between the likes of her parents and the wishes of her own self made it look like the role was meant just for her.

Paarthen Rasithen

  One of the fewer films which portrayed Simran in a negative shade! Her performance was critically acclaimed to have been edgy and perfectly delivered. This stands as evidence to the fact that Simran is definitely one of the few actors who can steal the show with almost any character given to her.
