When Jayalalithaa moved to Chennai to stay with her mother, she was introduced to the world of movies. She learnt classical dance and excelled in her education. However, she confessed in an interview with Simi Garewal that she was forced to enter the film industry by her mother and she always wanted to be a lawyer. She couldn’t refuse her mother’s aspirations and the rest is history.
