Even though Dulquer is Malayalam Superstar Mammootty’s son, he did not want any help from his father and wanted to make a career purely out of talents.
Dulquer was not serious about a career in films when he grew up and went on to become a businessman. He owned a web portal for trading cars.
Dulquer still owns various businesses. He heads a dental business in Chennai and owns Motherhood Hospital in Bengaluru.
Dulquer Salmaan has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Purdue University in United States.
Dulquer is the only Malayalam actor to be listed down in most desired men of the country. He ranked 45th in Times Most Desirable Men 2014 and 7th in Chennai. In an online poll conducted by India Times, he was voted as the Most Desirable Man in Kerala.
As he never studied films professionally, he took up a short term course on Cinema before joining movies.
Dulquer even rejected offers from bid directors like Shyamaprasad and Linguswamy as he felt he could not do justice to them. He thought he needed to learn more about movies before taking up offers.
