2016 saw some of the best films and also brought out the best in many actors and actresses. However, we were quite happy with the outcome this year’s results. South film industry, in particular, won 18 National Awards earlier this year. Now, the nominations’ list for 64th Filmfare Awards has been announced. Interestingly, superstar Rajinikanth, Ilayathalapathy Vijay, Suriya, Madhavan, and Dhanush will be fighting for the Best Actor prize this year. In Tamil, the National Award-winning film, Joker, has won the Best Film, while R Madhavan’s runaway hit Irudhi Suttru bagged top honors. After 9 years, Suriya has won the Critics Best Actor Award for his stellar performance in 24.
