Aishwarya and Abhishek: The Miss World beauty Aishwarya Rai and Bollywood star Abhishek Bachchan got married in 2007. This ceremony was a lavish one with costs for this larger-than-life celebration was unbelievable. The wedding was quite intimate and took place at ‘Prateeksha’-the Bachchan’s bungalow. The auspicious ceremony was filled with close friends and family members. The ‘pujas’, outfits and pieces of jewelry were customized and absolutely gorgeous.
Designers like Neetu Lulla and Abu Jani and Sundeep Khosla designed some lavish clothes for the couple to stun in. Aishwarya’s wedding saree was embellished with stunning red and gold zari. Their reception feast, which had the chefs from the Taj Hotel, to serve a scrumptious combination of Indian, Chinese and Continental cuisines, was another money-guzzling arrangement.
Jyothika and Suriya: Kollywood’s Queen Jyothika married her beau and Kollywood star Suriya Sivakumar in the year 2006. While the engagement ceremony was low-key, the wedding was a grand one. The ceremony took place at Hotel Park Sheraton in Chennai. While Suriya wore pure white silk dhoti, Jyothika wore an elegant baby pink saree with a great chunky diamond neck piece and a gold armlet.

Allu Arjun and Sneha Reddy: Tollywood’s stylish star Allu Arjun tied the knot to Sneha Reddy, the daughter of educationist Kanchara Chandrasekar Reddy, in the year 2011. But, the engagement ceremony was by itself super grand. The grand ceremony took place at Hotel Novotel in Hyderabad for which Sneha wore a beautiful Sabyasachi Saree. She later switched to a grand pink Sabyasachi Kaancheevaram Saree.The invitation was a two-tired box with one tire filled with chocolates and sweets.

Sneha looked stunningly beautiful in exquisite jewelry. A reception was held for Arjun’s fans at Shilpa Kala Vedika in Hyderabad. Arjun wore a red embroidered sherwani while Sneha was draped in red and gold pure Kanjeevaram saree for the reception. A dazzling diamond choker set, Kundan long chain and diamond waist belt finished her look.
Dulquer Salmaan and Amal Sufiya: Malayalam star Dulquer Salmaan tied the knot to Amal Sufiya, the daughter of Chennai-based business tycoon Syed Nizamuddin. The grand yet intimate Nikkah took place in Park Sheraton with close friends and family gracing the ceremony. Dulquer’s father and Mollywood superstar Mammootty hosted a grand reception in Kochi.
Asin Thottumkal and Rahul Sharma: Asin married Micromax founder Rahul Sharma in the year 2016. This grand wedding had two ceremonies – Hindu and Christian. Asin wore a gorgeous Neetu Lulla and Abu Jani Lehenga for her Hindu wedding while she wore an elegant off -shoulder Vera Wang gown for her Christian wedding. The Hindu ceremony was performed in a resort in Mumbai, while a chapel was set up in the same location for the Christian wedding. It was a private affair and closest of friends and family members took part in the celebrations. Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar was Asin and Rahul’s Best Man.
