5 Star Kids Who Decided To Live With Their Dads Post Parents’ Divorce!

Celebrities getting divorced and remarrying has now become a very common thing. While some choose to remarry and start a new family, some just date and some, stay single. But no matter what they do, celebrity couples with children fight for their kids. They tend to stay connected and devote time to their children. Indian Laws favour children below 14 years to stay with their mothers, and in most cases, the children go with their mothers post-divorce. However, few celebrity children have made an exception and chose to stay with their fathers.

 

Meghana and Pooja (Daughters of Prakash Raj)

Prakash Rai married actress Lalitha Kumari in 1994. They have two daughters, Meghana and Pooja, and a son Sidhu who passed away in 2009 following which the couple divorced.The actor later married choreographer Pony Verma in 2010 and they have a son, Vedhanth. Though he has his new family, Prakash Raj did not give up his girls. His daughters stay with him, their stepmother and paternal grandmother. He also shares that his daughters have an amazing bond with Pony in an interview with Times of India.

 

Shruti Haasan and Akshara Haasan (Daughters of Kamal Haasan)

Kamal Haasan in 1978, at age 24, married dancer Vani Ganapathy but was divorced ten years later after which the actor began living together with Sarika in 1988.They married after the birth of their first child, Shruti Haasan, their younger daughter is Akshara Haasan. In 2002, the couple filed for divorce, which became final in 2004. However, both daughters chose to stay with their father, actor Kamal Haasan. They are both involved in films now.

 

Naga Chaitanya (Son of Nagarjuna)

Nagarjuna has been married twice. In 1984, he married Lakshmi Daggubati, a member of the Daggubati family that is prominent in the Telugu film industry. Lakshmi and Nagarjuna have a son, the actor Naga Chaitanya. However, the couple were divorced in 1990 after which the actor married actress Amala Akkineni. Naga Chaitanya grew with his father and stepmother Amala with his half-brother Akhil Akkineni who is also a famous actor.


 

Abhinaya, Keerthana and Raakhi (Children of Parthiban)

Parthiban and Seetha got married in 1990 and the couple has two daughters P. S. Abhinaya and P. S. Keerthana and an adopted son P. S. Raakhi. All three children live with their father Parthiban. Keerthana is famous as a child artist after her national-award winning performance in Mani Ratnam’s Kannathil Muthamittal.

 

Meenakshi ( Daughter of Dileep)

Dileep married actress Manju Warrier on 20 October 1998. The couple has one daughter, Meenakshi. In July 2014, Dileep filed for divorce, which was granted on 31 January 2015 later which Dileep married actress Kavya Madhavan on 25 November 2016, the couple and Dileep’s daughter Meenakshi live together.
