RAMYA KRISHNAN

Of course Ramya Krishnan had to top the list! She’s probably the only person who gave competition to Rajinikanth and that too in his own movie! The character Neelambari became synonymous with Ramya Krishan for her performance in Padayappa.

JYOTHIKA

Jyothika took everyone by surprise when she played a negative role in Gautam Menon’s Pachaikilli Muthucharam. Till the first half of the movie, it is not revealed that there is a dark side to her character and it just blows your mind when the suspense breaks! Jyothika delivered a stunning performance in the film.

SHRIYA REDDY

Shriya was a popular RJ before she debuted in the movie Thimiru. Her character in the film was the ultimate bad-ass and we could not imagine anyone playing that character other than Shriya. She proved her mettle in her first film itself!

SIMRAN

The usually bubbly Simran who was seen as the girl next door in most of her movies, took her fans by surprise when she played a negative role in the Prashant starrer Parthen Rasithen. Initially we think she’s the hero’s best friend and Laila plays the love interest but the story becomes darker when it is revealed that Simran too has feelings for Prashant.

REEMA SEN

Reema Sen played the role of an obsessed lover in Simbu’s Vallavan and absolutely stole the show! Her character was borderline psychotic and Reema Sen brought out the various shades of the character very well. She also played the villain in Selvaraghavan’s Ayirathil Oruvan, where she played the role of a warrior princess. Her performance was well received and was crucial to the success of the film!
