Suriya and Jyothika: Suriya married Jyothika in the year 2006 and has been her confidante since then. Suriya and Jyothika first met on the sets of ‘Poovellam Kettupaar’ in the year 1999. It was during the shooting of ‘Kaakha Kaakha’, the love blossomed between the two and the announcement of their engagement was made.
Suriya and Jyothika are proud parents of two beautiful kids namely Diya (9) and Dev (6). When Jyothika made a comeback to the industry with her superhit movie ’36 Vayadhinile’, Suriya was the producer of the film. Her upcoming movie ‘Ponmagal Vandhal’ is also being produced by Suriya.
Ajith and Shalini: Ultimate star Ajith Kumar married Shalini in the year 2000. The actors were introduced to each other when they started shooting for the movie ‘Amarkalam’. By the end of the shoot, love sparkled between the two and they decided to instantly get married with the blessings of their families. The couple had two ceremonies as Shalini was a Protestant Christian and Ajith was a Hindu Brahmin. They are proud parents of Anoushka (8) and Advik (2). Although Shalini did not come back to the film industry, Ajith is a superstar in the Kollywood industry.
Vijay and Sangeetha: Ilayathalapathy Vijay married Sangeetha in the year 1999 and are going strong since then. They are the perfect example of a happily married couple in real life. Just like her humble husband, Sangeetha never demands attention and quietly acknowledges Vijay’s success by being by his side. Their love story is completely different from any other. Sangeetha, a Sri Lankan Tamil, was Vijay’s die-hard fan who was in love with him. The star, without a second thought, agreed to marry Sangeetha and is now very happy to have made the decision. Mahesh Babu and Namrata Shirodkar: Tollywood superstar Mahesh Babu married Namrata Shirodkar in the year 2005. After dating for nearly 5 years, the couple tied the knot in a private ceremony in Mumbai. According to reports, Mahesh was busy shooting one day before marriage. He recalled the situation: “I was busy till the week before the marriage, as I was trying to finish all my assignments. I really had no time. But then all the arrangements were done by my sister and brother-in-law and my parents.” He further added, “Namrata is a real person. What she feels is what you get, no frills attached. She keeps me grounded.” They are proud parents of Gautham Krishna (10) and Sitara (4). Namrata was awarded the Femina Miss India in 1993 while Mahesh was an aspiring actor then.
Madhavan and Sarita Birji: Madhavan married Sarita Birji in the year 1999. He first met Sarita during a Maharashtra workshop, when she attended the class Madhavan was conducting, in the year 1991. She became an air hostess with the help of Madhavan’s skill training classes. After she completed the course, the pair began dating. Sarita and Maddy married long before he entered the mainstream film industry. The couple are proud parents of their son Vedant (11).
