Actress Rashmika Mandanna’s residence in Virajpet region of Kodagu district was raided and around Rs25 lakh unaccounted cash, property documents has been found by a team of the Income Tax Department. Apart from the cash, the IT officials also found property documents from the actress’ residence
Her parent’s however have not been able to explain the details of the property. They are being questioned about the same. Rashmika, who was not at the residence when the I-T officials arrived, was served notice to join the probe and hence joined them later on. According to sources, IT officials from Bengaluru who arrived in three cars on Thursday verified documents pertaining to properties, bank accounts and investments.
The raids were led to the admission of previously undeclared income of Rs. 3.94 crore by the family. This includes the Rs. 25 lakh unaccounted cash that was found at the house.
According to reports it is said that she has two PAN cards and under one PAN she is a non-filer, while under the other she has filed I-T returns from 2016-17. For 2019-20, she has now allegedly admitted to having an undeclared income of Rs. 5 crore, in addition to her regular income.
Speaking on the issue, the Actress’s mother said to a source that, “This is not a serious issue and like every one’s house is raided, our house too has been raided. We have extended full cooperation to the I-T sleuths and we will continue to do so. My daughter had to rush to Hyderabad for the promotion of her movie.”
The raid at the residence began on Wednesday morning. Sources added that the bank account details of the actress and her parents are also being verified.
After her first hit of 2016 Kannada movie, kirik party, Actress Rashmika Mandanna had a string of movies in line. Her second was Telugu rom-com Chalo, on the side was Anjaniputra in Kanada, and in the mean time she was making an announcement about Geetha Govindam. And then came Chamak, Dev Das, Dear Comrade and now Sarileru Neekevvaru where she stars along with Mahesh Babu.
She is currently shooting for Beesham in Telugu, Sultan in Tamil and Pogaru in Kannada.
