Indian Shooter, Rhythm Sangwan broke a 29-year-old world record in the women’s 25m pistol shooting event. This happened at the ISSF World Cup 2023 for rifle and pistol shooting at Baku in Azerbaijan. The sad news is that in spite of this, she stood 8th and didn’t receive a medal.
She registered a score of 595, topped the qualification round but finished last in the final. The 25m pistol qualification has 2 rounds- precision and rapid. Each shooter gets 3o shots per round. Rhythm bagged 296 points in the first stage, precision round and 299 in the second, rapid round.
