The female lead in the Telugu version is played by Samantha, who portrays the character of Jessie. In the Tamil version, Samantha played the role of Nandini, the female lead in Karthik’s film. 

Naan Ee

Naan Ee is a fantasy action movie featuring Nani, Samantha, and Kiccha Sudeep. The movie is written and directed by S. S. Rajamouli. The story begins with a father narrating a bedtime story to his daughter. The story revolves around Nani, who is in love with Bindu, played by Samantha, who is killed by Sudeep, a wealthy industrialist who is also attracted to Bindu. Nani reincarnates as a small fly (Ee), and seeks revenge against Sudeep while also protecting Bindu from him. The movie takes viewers on a thrilling adventure as they watch Ee, in his tiny form, take on the powerful Sudeep to avenge his death and keep Bindu safe.

Neethaane En Ponvasantham

Neethaane En Ponvasantham is yet another film that revolves around the complex relationship between Varun and Nithya from childhood to adulthood. Written and Directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon, the film features, Jeeva, Samantha, and Santhanam. The story revolves around the constant disagreement and contrasting ideologies of Varun and Nithya who, towards the end of the film find their way back to each other. Samantha’s character, Nithya is a strong, independent woman despite her heartbreak from Varun. 

Super Deluxe

“Super Deluxe” directed by Thiagarajan Kumararaja, is a Tamil film that has captured the attention of alternate mainstream cinema. The movie features Vijay Sethupathi, Fahad Faasil, Samantha, and Ramya Krishna. Each actor has delivered a career-defining performance, but Samantha stands out in every scene she appears in. Her character is that of an unfaithful wife who is compelled to hide her lover’s body from her husband after experiencing a series of bizarre events.
