10 Times Shruti Haasan Made Heads Turn!

Total fashionista she be!

When it comes to fashion, very rarely do actresses get it right so often. And that too in something that is so edgy and different. Shruti Haasan, fashion-wise, has come a long way. When she made her debut in 2009, she had the whole grunge, punk girl look going owing to her being a part of a band and that look being the in thing. Over the years, her style has gotten subtle, fairly feminine and more often than not, it’s full of risks but always manages to stand out.

With her turning 33 today, here’s a look at how far she’s come in the fashion department with her only growing strength to strength as a fashionista/singer/actress.

Shruti Haasan and bangs!

She was in her early 20s with so much going for her. With her debut film Luck released, Shruti was the promising debutante that people were looking forward to. At most of the film’s promotional events, she dressed up in clothes that closely resembled her personality back then. A young, urban chic girl with a style and persona of her own, mixed with a bit of punk-emo.

Of lehengas and baby pink

At the JFW Awards in 2014, Shruti Haasan wore a baby pink Manish Malhotra ensemble and really stood out. Her outfit had the right flares, the right glam.

High on polka dots

Giving us major classy vibes, Shruti Haasan wore this breezy yet fun polka dotted dress to The Kapil Sharma Show during the promotions of her film Behen Hogi Teri. She made the look even better with a pair of gold, open-toe stilettos by Vanilla Moon Shoes.

Slits on the side

One can never go wrong with black. And in this outfit, Shruti goes completely right especially with the slits looking classy and looking so well with the whole look. Adding some colour are the metallic chains and her red lipstick. Vintage with a lots of modern inspiration.

More black

Shruti Haasan was all things classy and dreamy in this black gown that she wore to Cannes in 2017. Her outfit was the talk of the town and the shoes sure complemented that look.

Black and gold

At the same Cannes festival, Shruti Haasan was the cynosure of all eyes when she stepped out wearing a black ruffled Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla saree with an embellished gold blouse. It looked like an armour in itself and she wore the traditional saree with a twist that no one saw coming.

Blue ruffles

In this simple yet elegant blue saree, Shruti almost throws it back to that bygone era when chandbali earrings coupled with an extravagant yet classy midnight blue saree was the style of the season. Her hairstyle was what gave it a modern twist.

Like a Rockstar

In the US last year, Shruti channelled her inner rock star, with clothes that were inspired from the 70s. With a messy updo and make-up that’s different than the usual, Shruti looks comfortable and totally exuding those yesteryear vibes.

Baby Pink

Being a chat show host cannot be easy, what with clothes always being one of the focal points along with the guests attending. She wears this fun ensemble that makes her look casual and yet chic and friendly.

Floral patterns

In this outfit she wore for an awards night, she kept her hair sleek and classy along with her floral outfit which wasn’t too overdone yet not so underwhelming. The slight slit in the front is unusual but she carries it off with the right attitude.
