We have a list of movies releasing across platforms this month:

  • Aval Peyar Rajni (Tamil, Malayalam)- 8th December In Theatres

This Tamil mystery movie stars Kalidas Jayaram, Namitha Pramod, Saiju Kurup, and Reba Monica John. Directed by Vinil Scariah Varghese, the movie is bilingual in Tamil and Malayalam. It’s a thriller film that tracks the mystery of an accident that takes place. With a hint of supernatural elements, the movie has a Rajni twist to it as well. 

  • Saba Nayagan (Tamil)- 15th December in Theatres

Ashok Selvan and Megha Akash starrer, the movie is a romantic-comedy centered around Aravind played by Ashok Selvan. Written and Directed by CS Karthikeyan, the movie is a light-hearted take on 3 different love tracks and a bromance on the side. It’s been a long since a feel-good film came into theatres, hence, we are looking forward to it. 

  • Kannagi (Tamil) – 15th December in Theatres

Starring Keerthi Pandian, Ammu Abhirami, Vidya Pradeep, and Shaalin Zoya, it’s the story of 4 women and their lives. Written and directed by Yashwanth Kishore, the movie talks about the various oppressors in society against women. From a girl who’s paraded in front of grooms to marry to a woman not want to grant a divorce to her husband, the movie seems to tackle societal issues. 

  • Fight Club (Tamil) – 15th December in Theatres

After the success of Leo, director Lokesh Kanagaraj announced his production house- G SQuad. Along with the announcement, he also unveiled the poster of the first film under the banner. Fight Club stars Vijay Kumar in the lead, with music composed by Govind Vasantha who also made music for 96. The movie is touted to be a rugged action thriller film. 

  • Salaar (Telugu)- 22nd December in Theatres

The much-awaited film starring Prabhas, Prithviraj and Shruti Haasan in the lead promises to be an action-packed film. It’s from the makers of the film KGF which was an instant blockbuster. It’s the story of two friends who are as close as brothers turning into foes. 

  • Archies (Hindi) – 7th December On Netflix

Starring Agastya Nanda, Suhana Khan, Khushi Kapoor, Vedang Raina and Mihir Ahuja, the movie is directed by Zoya Akhtar. It marks the debut of these actors who are the next generation of Bollywood actors and directors. It’s set in the fictional town of Riverdale as is in the original Archies comics. A fresh take on the Archies franchise, this movie is sure to take you back to those times. 

  • Dunki (Hindi) – 21st December in Theatres

Shahrukh Khan’s third movie this year, Dunki stars Tapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, Boman Irani and Vikram Kochar. It’s about a group of people who wish to move to the United States of America to find jobs and make a life for themselves. The movie is directed by Rajkumar Hirani and promises romance, comedy, drama and action in this movie. 

  • Kho Gaye Hum Kahan (Hindi) – 26th December on Netflix

Starring Ananya Pandey, Adarsh Gourav and Siddhanth Chaturvedi, this Netflix movie is a coming-of-age story of these three friends. The movie features the story of Imaad (Siddhant), Ahana (Ananya) and Neli(Adarsh) as they embark on the journey of life. It follows the lives of these youngsters who are dealing with the various issues faced by the generation of today. 

  • Hi Nanna (Telugu) – 7th December in Theatres 

Starring Nani, Mrunal Thakur and Kiara Khanna in the lead, the movie is about the endearing father-daughter bond. It’s a film that has emotions, drama, love and centrally, the importance of familial bonds. After the barrage of action films, this one is a breath of fresh air with a poignant story at its core. 

  • Conjuring Kannapan (Tamil) – 8th December in Theatres

A tale of comedy, horror and fantasy, the movie stars Sathish, Regina Cassandra, Nasser, Saranya Ponvannan and Anandraj. The protagonist is trapped in a dreamland where he is haunted by the ghosts of the residents living in the house. When the lines between real and fantasy seem to get blurred, his struggle begins.
