1. Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas:
On 22nd January, Priyanka and Nick took the Internet by storm when they announced that they have welcomed a baby girl. In the announcement, Priyanka also clearly mentioned that she went through surrogacy to welcome her baby girl. Then, a few days later, Priyanka announced that they named their child, Maltie Marie Chopra Jonas. So far, the couple has not revealed the face of the little one. However, Priyanka has been sharing photos of her baby with her face covered.
2. Kajal Aggarwal and Gautam Kitchlu:
Kajal Aggarwal has been flaunting her baby bump since the beginning of the year. While she did not exactly make an announcement, she made it clear with photos of her baby bump. Then, on the 19th of April, she took to her Instagram to announce that she gave birth to a baby boy. The very next day, Gautam, her husband, proclaimed that they named their son Neil Kitchlu. Although it has been more than 6 months, Kajal has opted not to reveal the face of her baby. She has however shared many photos of the little one.
3. Pranitha Subhash and Nitin:
Pranitha announced her pregnancy on her Husband’s 34th birthday. On Instagram, she showed the ultrasound images of her yet-to-be-born baby. Then in June, she gave birth to a baby girl and named her Arna. Shortly after, she did a photoshoot of her child and shared photos and reel videos on her Instagram. She has been sharing photos with her child ever since.
4. Chinmayi Sripaada and Rahul Ravindran:
Chinmayi is a famous singer and dubbing artist in Tamil Cinema. Her husband, Rahul, is also a part of the film industry and has acted in many films, so far. In June, Chinmayi revealed that she gave birth to twins, one boy and one girl. As she never revealed her pregnancy, and never posted photos of her pregnant belly, many asked the singer if she went in for surrogacy. However, Chinmayi later revealed that she did not go for surrogacy. She kept her pregnancy a secret because she previously miscarried and went through a lot of struggle, before giving birth to Driptah and Sharvas. Chinmayi has shared many photos of the twin munchkins without revealing their faces.
5. Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja:
In March this year, with an adorable post, Sonam revealed that she and her husband were pregnant with their first child. During the course of her pregnancy, she made many public appearances and also came on Karan Johar’s Koffee With Karan. Then, on the 20th of August, she welcomed her baby boy. A month later, she announced that they named their boy Vayu Kapoor Ahuja. As devout devotees of Hanuman, they adopted the name Vayu. She has so far shared only one photo of her bundle of joy.
6. Namita and Veera:
Another couple who joined the parent club this year is Namita and Veera. Namita first shared photos of her pregnancy and announced the same. Then, she shared a video with her twin boys and shared that she gave birth to the little ones on Krishna Janmashtami this year. Recently she also shared their names as Krishna Adhithya and Kian Raaj. She has been sharing photos with their faces hidden, ever since.
7. Soundarya Rajinikanth and Vishagan Vanangamudi:
After her divorce from Ashwin, Soundarya married Vishagan in 2019. She gave birth to her first son, Ved in 2015. This year, she embraced motherhood for the second time on the 12th of September, when she gave birth to her second son Veer Vanangamudi. She shared photos of the baby’s little fingers and announced the birth. She had kept it a secret until his birth. After the announcement, she also shared a photo of her newborn and her father, Rajinikanth.
8. Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan:
Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan have been in the news for the whole of this year. First, they hit headlines when they announced their wedding, which took place on the 9th of June in Mahabalipuram, Chennai. Then, they hit headlines again when Vignesh Shivan announced in November that they embraced parenthood, which was assumed to be through surrogacy. They also became a part of a huge controversy because many said that surrogacy was banned in India. However, the couple clarified that they registered their marriage 6 years ago and that they opted for surrogacy when it was still legal in India. They have not yet revealed the names of their twin boys, but have shared some photos and videos.
9. Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor:
Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor became subjects to trolling because of their pregnancy this year. The couple who tied the knot in April announced their pregnancy within a month. Many trolled Alia for getting pregnant immediately after marriage. However, Alia not only handled criticism boldly, but she also flaunted her baby bump, several times. Then, on the 6th of November, Alia welcomed a baby girl. Shortly after, she announced that they have chosen the name Raha for the little munchkin.
10. Bipasha Basu and Varun Singh Grover:
A few months ago, Bipasha Basu proclaimed that she and her husband Varun were expecting their first child. All through her pregnancy, she shared many photos of her pregnant belly. Then, on the 12th of November, she gave birth to a baby girl and name her Devi Basu Singh Grover. She then also shared a photo of she and Varun holding their baby girl.
