This wedding is a royal union between the prince of Mysuru and the princess of Rajastan.
Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wodeyar, a graduate of Boston University, was crowned Maharaja of Mysuru last year.
The new prince married Trishika Kumari Singh, of the Dungarpur royal family from Rajasthan.
Yaduveer was adopted by the widow of the previous Mysuru King who was childless. The Wodeyar dynasty has ruled over the Mysore kingdom for nearly six centuries.
The royal wedding has the stamp of the royal traditions dating back to almost 500 years.
A group of 40 priests officiated in the ceremonies, which will be witnessed by nearly 1,000 guests at the Kalyana Mantapa, the venue of all Wadiyar weddings.
