“I have a voice and I’m not afraid to use it. I haven’t decided on the party as yet, but I will definitely take the political plunge in the next 5-10 years. Everybody keeps saying politics is a dirty game, but people who aren’t fearful should come and wipe it clean. I appeal to our generation to play a proactive role in the development of our country,” she said.
Incidentally, her upcoming film ‘Sarkar’ is also a political drama starring Vijay and Keerthy Suresh in the lead. She is touted to be a role with grey shades. The film is directed by AR Murugadoss and is set for a Diwali release next week.
The actress has been in a spate of films recently in including the recently released Sandakozhi 2.
If she joins politics, the actress will join several other personalities from the industry who have trodden the same path including actors Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Khushboo, Divya Spandana, Vijaykanth, and others. Her father is currently heading the political party All India Samathuva Makkal Katchi.
