As papa Ravichandran Ashwin was winning accolades for India’s recent win over England, his wife Prithi delivered a healthy baby girl. The couple have a daughter, Akhira who was born in 2015 and have been again blessed with a baby girl.
Baby number two was born on December 21 as Chennai struggled with the cyclone and a day after India beat England. The elated mother shared her excitement on twitter and said,”I delivered carrom baby #2 on the 21st. She waited out a State-wide shut down thanks to the cyclone AND 5 days of Test cricket at Chepauk.”
She also added,”She arrived the next day. We Didn’t want to steal Appas ‘Cricketer of the Year’ moment, so telling you guys now.”
Looks like the couple have successfully kept the arrival of the ‘carrom’ baby a secret from their fans! Two little baby girls and that’s one happy family! Congratulations to Mr and Mrs Ashwin!
