When it comes to Tamil Cinema, after the giants that are Superstar and Ulaganayagan, the two names that come to mind following him are Thala Ajith and Thalapathy Vijay. The actors score big on the box office front but are they equally a hit with the ladies? Let us take a scorecard to that!
Kajal Aggarwal – Thalapathy : 1 / Thala : 0
Who can forget Thuppaki the blockbuster? Kajal’s equation with Vijay has translated so well on screen as the beautiful belle who keeps Vijay’s character grounded. This one takes the cake.
In Vivegam Kajal was shown with the mature looking Thala as depicted here, but Kajal’s girl next door looks didn’t seem to pay off so well.
Nayanthara – Thalapathy : 1 / Thala 1
Although she rocked a bikini and a mini skirt in Billa, Ajith looked equally rocking in black leather matching up to Nayan’s stylish looks.
Villu scores high on the comedy front but Nayanthara had very little to do to help Vijay’s role in the movie. Although a nice looking pair, the movie did not really seem romantic with these two in play.
Jyothika – Thalapathy : 1 / Thala 2
It is no wonder that Ajith so many movies with the cute and bubbly Jyo as the chemistry was just perfect. Both have mature and charming looks and their couple chemistry teaches us practical and honest love.
Khushi is where Jyo got her full recognition and all thanks to Vijay! Though this jodi looked cute in the movie, when compared to Ajith, Vijay was not fully up on the chemistry points with Jyo. Maybe in the future? Let’s see.
Simran – Thalapathy : 1 / Thala : 3
Who can forget the awesome performances of Simran in Vaali and Ajith in the dual role? Whether hero or villain, Ajith’s equation with Simran just goes beyond what is expected from the two actors.
But then Vijay was equally good with Simran in Priyamanavale and the one in which she plays blind! This is hard to choose but we will go with Ajith on this one.
Asin – Thalapathy : 2 / Thala : 3
Pokiri hands down beats all other movies. The friendly, naughty and comedic equation between Vijay and Asin is still loved and watched all over youtube and TV!
Asin with Ajith just fell short. Although Varalaru and Aalwar weren’t great movies, Varalaru stood out for Ajith’s acting skills but not for romance!
Tamannaah – Thalapathy : 2 / Thala : 4
Tamannaah saying she will die for Vijay in the movies may be unbelievable but the romance between them did not seem at all convincing.
The best equation of mature and charm was best shown in the blockbuster that is Veeram! Both looked adorable together and Ajith’s salt and pepper look just made him all the more hotter!
Anushka Shetty – Thalapathy : 3 / Thala : 4
Vettaikaran absolutely rocked with Vijay, Anushka Jodi. She can equally match him at the dance steps and we were also rooting for them to get married on screen and having kids.
The mature look of Anushka with Ajith felt dull and faded. Romance was not highlighted and it was more of watching drab love stories that don’t have an exciting future.
Trisha – Thalapathy : 4 / Thala : 4
We were hoping Trisha to even the score but it is a toughie! With so many movies done with Vijay, Thalapathy absolutely nails this one but Mankatha comes close. But do you remember? In the movie they actually don’t get together!
