Bridal wear is all about extravaganza and this designer is known for his larger than life masterpieces. He is the dream designer that every girl wants for her wedding. Not just the clothes, but the ramp was spectacular. The chandelier-laden ambiance gave the feel of the 70s era beautifully complimented by the live music by the Symphony Orchestra of India.
The latest collection was dominated by shimmery silhouettes and vintage floral adornments. Hand embroidery on velvet dresses, kaftans, anarkalis and sarees, his signature florals in dark undertones, the unconventional pairing of fur with Indian attire were the highlight of the finale event. An element of surprise were the dhoti pants in velvet that were paired with am embellished cropped jacket and a fur collar.
Radiating the pregnancy glow and charm was Mrs. Kareena Kapoor Khan, soon to-be-mommy who walked the ramp as the show stopper for the designer. She wore a Mughal inspired ensemble consisting of a heavily embellished kurti with gold threadwork, a sheer lehenga with polka dots in the same color and a matching dupatta. Complimenting the attire was a statement Maangtika which completed her look!
