Over 1,00,000 Women Took To The Streets To Protest Against Sexism!

The streets of London, Paris, New York, Spain, United States and many other parts of the world were packed with millions of women marching against the appointment of United States’ 45th President Donald Trump. During his campaign, video of him making sexist comments were released in the media. The derogatory comments made by the then nominee of the Republican party, bragging sexual assault went viral and marred his campaign. However, under the electoral college vote, Donald Trump won the presidency even after acquiring less than 3 million votes against Hillary Clinton.

Wide protests took place in the streets across the world to protest against the US 45th President’s inauguration. Women at the march shouted slogans that they will not bear any kind of sexism and that they won’t be silent for the next  years. Many celebrities also took part in the protests like Cher, Scarlett Johansson, Emma Watson, Katy Perry and many others.

Organisers of the Women’s march are expecting over 2.2 million women to take part in the demonstrations across the world in the coming days. Meanwhile, Donald Trump has taken oath and is all set to move in to the White House.
