One Of A Kind: Inspirational Awards For Inspirational Stories!

From Parthiban talking about the importance of youth in Tamil Nadu to Vishal being the gentleman that he is, the VBJ JFW Awards saw some of the best speeches about womanhood, best award winners and more than that, an auditorium filled with the roaring audience all tucked in to cheer their favourite awardees. The hosts Divya and Shaam made sure they kept the celebrities and the audience engaged with their tongue and cheek humour and spontaneous questions.

Jyothika’s successful comeback reflects a paradigm shift in the industry and we at JFW wish her well. We are indeed related to honour Jo for her Excellence in Cinema. Director Priyadarshan and Jithendra Vummidi presented the award to the actress.

For winning hearts with her charming self and the infectious candor, JFW presents the debut queen Sai Pallavi the Sensation of the Year award. The award was presented by the famous Vikram Vedha director duo Gayathri-Pushkar.

From selecting the costumes for thousands of soldiers of Mahishmati Empire and invading Kalakeya army in the first part and the sequel, to cooking food for the actors and actresses who were staying in Vasundhara guest house in Ramoji Film City, during the shoots; Rama and Prashanthi worked cohesively and achieved laurels that speak for itself. JFW recognizes this legendary contribution to the duo designers and awards them with Excellence in Costume Design. The award was provided by ‘Thani Oruvan’ director Mohan Raja.

Rupa Devi is the only woman referee from Tamil Nadu to be selected by FIFA. We at JFW are proud and honored to bestow the award for Excellence in ­­­SPORTS to Rupa Devi. The award fo presented by ace comedian and actor Sathish.

Dr. Seema Rao’s growing up years was committed to the cause of serving the country drawing inspiration from her freedom fighter father. Dr. Seema Rao is the first Indian woman Commando Trainer. JFW is delighted to honor India’s Wonder Women with Excellence in Public Service. The award was presented by the ‘Indira’ actress Anu Hasan.

Through this edition of the World Cup, she has outdone herself, becoming the third highest run-scorer of the series and turning the spotlight on the Indian Women’s Cricket.  For being a phenomenal sportswoman and for empowering fellow women of the country with headline-earning accomplishments, JFW presents Mithali with the Newsmaker of the Year Award. The award was presented by actor Vishal.

For shouldering a collective responsibility to the community and for addressing a pressing societal concern head-on, JFW presents Dr. Lakshmi Vijaykumar with the award for Excellence in Social Work. The award was presented by the very cheerful Parthiban.

Vani Jayaram wins the lifetime achievement award for being the legend that she is and all the ace singers in South India gathered to give away the award to this legendary singer.
