National Handloom Day: 7 Times Samantha Akkineni Rocked That Handloom Attire!

Very rarely do we realise the quality of goods our country is capable of creating. Not many take handlooms and weavers seriously apart from occassions that include something traditional. However, actress Samantha had made people realise the importance of Indian handloom and we cannot be prouder for the noble cause she chose to do. Her handloom fashion show Woven 2017 had been a super successful campaign where various fashion designers chose to design clothes using handloom and giving weavers a rebirth.

From movie promotions to some beautiful outings, Samantha was seen wearing hand-woven sarees! Here are 7 of our favourites:

2. Weavers of Telangana, JFW Photoshoot.

Samantha wore a stunning hand-woven ensemble made exclusively by the weavers of Telangana for her photoshoot with JFW magazine.

 

3. Stripes and belts, Awards

Samantha wore a full-handed blouse and paired it up with a handwoven striped black and white saree for an awards ceremony.

 

4. Pretty in pastels

The Majili actress wore a pastel pink and off-white Saree for one of her movie promotions and paired her look with some Jewellery from Amrapalli.

5. Weave of love through patterns

Samantha is seen wearing a block-patterned Saree for handloom promotions and we totally love that vintage hairdo that goes along with it.

Samantha revived her mother’s old handloom Saree and gave it a twist with a ruffled blouse.
