JFW’s Fashion Report Card: Who Wore What!

The week had stars making fashion statements and blunders, so we bring you the best and the worst dressed of the week. From wearing traditionals to funky Indo-western outfits, here are actresses styling it up with each event they head to!

Keerthy Suresh

It’s evident that Keerthy Suresh has a thing for sarees with a twist. For a recent awards function, the ‘Sarkar’ actress wore a saree that looked comfortable and had enough bling for the occasion. Styled by Shravya Varma, Keerthy’s saree was a colour that isn’t too bright, a rather dull one and while it is a bold attempt to look different and traditional, the whole ensemble ends up looking a little boring. It isn’t something that Keerthy hasn’t tried before. We only wish she could’ve attempted something more vibrant.

Verdict: Nay.

Amala Paul

Amala Paul is someone who loves to travel and her Instagram page is rather enviable to all the wanderlust seekers. In her recent posts, she put up pictures of herself in Punjab, looking quite like the quintessential Punjabi girl. Her sharara with a kurta and dupatta whilst posing with an orange tree was quite something. Green and lime, we love the combination of this simple outfit!

Verdict: Yay!

Tamannaah

Tamannaah knows that red is one of her strong colours, where she pulls it off effortlessly irrespective of how the outfit is. For events, time and again, Tamannaah chooses red and rocks it. This outfit is no exception. For an event related to her upcoming film, she wore a red spaghetti top and a long sequined skirt of a different shade. With minimal make-up, she let her hair simple and loose and still made all the heads turn. Not to forget those simple red sandals that she pulled of!

Verdict: Yay!

Aishwarya Rajesh

Aishwarya Rajesh is not someone who would go overboard when it comes to her outfit. As said in many interviews, she likes to keep it simple and wears outfits that make her comfortable. In this slightly dressy but understated maxi, Aishwarya looks at ease. Her make-up, too, isn’t overdone and seems just right. At the end of the day, it’s all about how one carries it off and she’s doing it just right!

Verdict: Yay!

Samantha Akkineni

Samantha Akkineni’s fashion quotient keeps getting better with age. In this lovely off-white Anita Dongre saree, Samantha takes us back to another era when actresses wore understated but classy sarees to events. The outfit is elegant, her hairstyle couldn’t have been more perfect and her make-up is exactly why we love her fashion sense!

Verdict: Yay!
