Here’s How To Pick A Style For Your Bridesmaids!

Although having bridesmaids is technically not an Indian tradition, our Indian beauties are getting accustomed to the concept. Being an Indian bride can be really exciting, you can choose your sisters and best friends to be your bridesmaids, and plan the ceremonies according to your taste!!

Infact, its plus point to have your sisters and best friends by your side, who can coordinate with your sense of style.

Here’s how you can personalize your bridesmaids theme!!!

Color coded

You can either color coordinate the bride’s dress with the bridesmaids or pick a separate color theme for the women. Unlike a wedding in the west, it is not necessary for Indian bridesmaids to wear the same style of dress, it could be different style following the same color code or vice versa.

Sari it up!

While the bride can wear a traditional Indian sari, the bridesmaids can wear a sari with a color coded theme. Pick a sari for the bridesmaids that appears sober yet stands out! Making a statement with bold oranges and red is the way to go, but if you are not into bling go for sober shades like plain pastels, whites, nudes and cream.

Experiment with the blouse

The trick to make the entire bridesmaids outfit stand out is the blouse!!! Whether you are following a bold theme or a sober one, the key is to experiment with the blouse. Make it a backless, sleeveless, a halter neck or a full sleeves blouse and team it up with a lehenga or a sari. Make it look simple yet elegant.

The modern lehenga

These days bridesmaids prefer to team their lehenga/skirts with a classy crop top! Keep either one of the blouse or lehenga simple. If the ehenga takes the cake with embroidery work, make sure the blouse is simpler.  The modern lehenga is ideal for a spring wedding, chose a fabric like georgette or crepe or other summer skewed fabrics for the lehenga to stand out. This could be your combination of traditional and modern mix for the bridesmaids.

A classy gown

Pick a theme for the gown, princess like gowns with tight fitting on top and their fluffy net base will work perfectly fine.  If you need the right mix of sensual and beautiful, go for  a plain long gown with minimal work on it.
