Fashion Report Card: Hits and Misses of the Week!

Last week had stars making fashion statements and blunders, so we bring you the best and the worst dressed of the week. From wearing traditionals to funky Indo-western outfits, here are actresses styling it up with each event they head to!

Samantha Akkineni

If you take a peek at Samantha’s fashion sense over the years, you’d notice that she’s come a long way. She now teams up casual and chic so effortlessly that lately she’s emerged as every fashionista’s favourite. From keeping it simple with jumpsuits to even making the simplest of outfits stand out, she brings back a sense of vintage charm in these two outfits and they go pretty well with the way she’s done her make-up and hair. Kudos to her!

Verdict: Yay!

Shruti Haasan

Shruti Haasan has long owned the grunge punk-girl-meets-girl-next-door image. Here, too, she teams it up with black and heavy make-up that make her stand out. Considering she wore this outfit for a performance goes on to say that she performed with a lot of intensity.

Verdict: Yay!

Taapsee Pannu

Currently Bollywood’s favourite, Taapsee has been dressing in her character Rumi for the last few weeks in order to promote her film Manmarziyaan. While the character’s dressing sense is outlandish and bohemian, we aren’t too sure if we’re too fond of it. It’s colourful and loud, but sometimes chic, sometimes trying too hard.

Verdict: Nay.

Ritika Singh

Ritika Singh looks gorgeous in this elegant pink saree. In the past, she has wowed fashion enthusiasts in this colour and it’s clear now that this is the colour that suits her best. Her straightened hair and red lipstick adds to her glam, Indian look too!

Verdict: Yay!

Hansika

Hansika is dressed in a cyan and black dress and black shoes, and while the colour is different from the usual fare, it isn’t exactly going too well with her make-up, which includes blue-green eyeshadows. The whole look is just too matchy-matchy and an overwhelming amount of cyan.

Verdict: Nay.
