Barkha Dutt Quits NDTV after 21 Years, Likely To Start Her Own Venture!

Padmashri Barkha Dutt, a veteran journalist popularly known for her bold coverage of the Kargil war in 1999 and the ex-host of TV shows ‘We the people’ and ‘Buck Stops Here’ bid farewell to NDTV today. She has been working with Delhi-based NDTV as a columnist and consulting editor. Her relationship with NDTV is about 21 years and she finally called it quit.

She is an award-winning journalist who overcame all the controversies that piled up on her which includes the Radia tapes controversy. She joined NDTV right after her college and now has said that she would like to find more oppurtunities and would like to invest on her own venture.

 


NDTV had wished her ‘All the best and thanked her for her contribution and association with NDTV for 21 years. NDTV’s staement says as following,

In 1995, Barkha Dutt joined NDTV straight out of college, and now, after 21 wonderful years together, Barkha has requested that she would like to explore some new opportunities, pursue other interests and work on her own ventures.

In all her years with NDTV, she has been hugely productive and has grown with the organisation, becoming an acclaimed, award-winning journalist of repute across India and many parts of the world. We are certain that Barkha will go from strength to strength and NDTV wishes her all the very best.
