7 Movies That Prove Dulquer Salmaan Is Romantic!

Dulquer has won the hearts of many South Indians with not just his charming look but also with his acting. His movies vary from action to human interest stories. However, here are some of these movies that prove he is a hardcore romantic by heart and also probably one of the reasons why we love him:

1. 100 Days of Love: After the hit film Ustad Hotel, Dulquer Salmaan, and Nithya Menon acted together again in 100 Days of Love. It is the directorial debut of Jenuse Mohamed. It features Dulquer as Balan K. Nair, who is a cartoonist and a reporter. He falls in love with his childhood friend Sheela, enacted by Nithya Menon. The story is typical but the romance and acting are mindblowing.

2. Charlie: This 2015 film won eight Kerala State Film Awards including a Best Actor Award for Dulquer Salmaan. In this picture, he plays the character Charlie, a wandering soul who moves from place to place in search of adventure. Parvathy Menon plays his love interest and the romance between them is truly beautiful. Two wandering souls falling in love will definitely keep you glued to your seats.

3. OK Kanmani: With the much-celebrated combination of Dulquer Salmaan and Nithya Menon, O K Kanmani hit the theaters on 17 April 2015. It is a Tamil movie directed by the veteran director Mani Ratnam. Much to do with our modern gen, the couple’s journey from no emotion live-in relationship to marriage nd family takes us through series of emotions.

4. Kali: This film directed by Sameer Tahir stars Dulquer Salmaan along with Sai Pallavi in the lead roles. It features Dulquer as Siddharth, who is a short-tempered and reactive person. Kali is a romantic drama which not just talks about unusual love between the two and also discusses women harassment.

5. Vayai Moodi pesavum: This film was made in both Tamil and Malayalam at the same time by the director Balaji Mohan. With a unique theme and different presentation, it won the heart of the audience. It stars Dulquer Salmaan and Nazriya Nazim as the lead characters and their romance is fresh and adorable.

6. Bangalore Days: Directed by Anjali Menon, this movie marks a milestone in the career of Dulquer Salmaan as an actor. With the character Arjun, he won a place in the spirit of all the Malayalam film lovers around the world. It made a record collection of 50 crores at the box-office. Nivin Pauly, Nazriya Nazim, Fahadh Faasil, Parvathy, and Nithya Menon played other crucial roles in this picture. Something similar to ‘Charlie’ the movie also has a very different love story between Parvathy and Dulquer.

7. Mahanati/Nadigayar Thilagam – If you haven’t seen this movie yet you are missing out on something big! Not only did Dulquer absolutely slay the performance as a Casanova called Gemini Ganeshan but he also showed us he can play a Tamil guy with some serious language skills. Showing us the vulnerable side of Gemini when Savitri’s career took off was just perfection. No wonder this talented guy has so many levels to him!
