6 Themed Restaurants In Chennai For The Art-Lover In You!

It’s Madras week and we cannot keep calm. There is so much to talk about the city and its amazement. Chennai is the land of foodies. (Or, should we call ourselves “theenipandaramas”). People here love food, it is no wonder we have a restaurant on every street of the city. Which makes it even more difficult to choose from. Fret not, we cannot help you every time, but we have you covered for your next six outings. If you are a lover of aesthetics and detailing, these restaurants below are just the place for you:

747

This Airplane themed restaurant inspired from the Boeing-747 is amazing. Amazing is the perfect word to describe the Thuraipaakam Restaurant. Get in and you will start having the flight- jitters because of it so real. I had a shudder, and am not exaggerating. Everything in the restaurant is as same as in Boeing. The lounge is similar to the boarding area, and the plates are in the shape of small airplanes. In addition, you get to choose the Terminal, cool right?

House no 22

You might miss House no 22 located in St. Thomas Mount for a big Catholic house. The restaurant doesn’t shout out it is serving because it’s more of your home than a restaurant. House no 22 is home- themed café built from a vintage Colonial house with a deck and patio seating. One can also host personal events here.

90’s café

Planning for a meet-up with school friends? Hands down, this is the best place to do it, especially for all us 90’s kids out there. It is 90’s themed restaurant, there is everything from “How you doing” to Dexter and his annoying sister. With casual bean bags and tire tables, you will feel the nostalgia rushing through as you start spending time in this place. Take a trip down the memory lane with Cartoon Network heroes who adore the wall of this beautiful place at Anna Nagar.

Mad Hatters Tea Garden

No, do not leave my article in the middle to rush to the place you fantasy lovers, wait. Yeah, Mad Hatter’s Tea Party just gave us all an open invite. Hiding behind a bunch of branches in Chetpet, Mad Hatters Tea Garden is the place where Mr. Time does not stand still but takes you on a beautiful experience. (Get it? I made a pun) Grab a book and have the best date with yourself, because it is like that garden-you-always-wanted-to-put-but-never-did in Mad Hatters.

Fully Local

Yeah, Yeah the name is exciting, so is the restaurant. If you love tiny things that can carry stuff, I am pretty sure you will love this one. There is a miniature iron box and cycle with a basket to increase the flavor. Located in Mylapore, this is one place you should never miss.

Superstar Pizza

Last but not the least, the go-to place for every Chennaite. There are many reasons to visit this place; for starters, it is in Besant Nagar, next to the beach, a long hot date does need Superstar finish. And, it’s everything THALAIVAR. The walls adore some rare and amazing pictures of Rajni, there are his dialogues, his painting, his art, its Rajnikanth, everywhere, even on the menu. Every Pizza is named after his characters and it’s not random. For example, Annamalai Rajni Pizza is all spicy because he gets emotional and fierce in the movie. One can sit all day and enjoy the nomenclature. After all, this if you still need a reason, hey, the place serves Pizza.
