The months of March and April can only conjure one thing and one feeling in a student’s mind – Exams and Fear. Year after year we see batches of students from high school and higher secondary face the board exams. This is an important juncture in their life. Face the board exams without stress – here are a few pointers for the student community taking exams this academic year.Hundred percent results, centum in subjects and state ranks are the objectives and goals for the students and institutions, the pressure applied and mounted is tremendous and one must take utmost care to not crack under pressure. Facing an exam is merely a test of memory and a record of sorts.
A few de-stress tips to help students face the challenges with relative ease and face the examination with a different perspective.
TIME MANAGEMENT
Chalk out a timetable with more hours allotted for tougher subjects. Most importantly, adhere to it!
FOCUS
Clear all clutter from the mind. Give the gadgets a break; let the fingers do some writing instead. Keep
subject books opened and Facebook closed. Lesser the distraction, better the focus!
HEALTHY BODY HEALTHY MIND
Head to your mother’s kitchen! Eating right at the right time is important. Pack your meals with all the
nutrition and drink plenty of water.
SLEEP TIGHT
The brain needs process time. Get your dosage of sleep and don’t burn the midnight oil.
TAKE A CHILL PILL
Move on from studying and revising to browsing through important questions. Spend time with family,
catch a breath of fresh air and drown in good music.
THE E-DAY
Make a check list and ensure you have everything. Believe in yourself and say a small prayer.
Every student is intelligent and has the capability to excel. A strong support system from family and school along with fond guidance from well-wishers will ensure the crossing of this academic milestone for every student.
