The week has been quite harsh for everyone who’s following 7-year-old Chennai girl Hasini’s murder case. People all over the country are outraged with the incident which proves how education may not help solve the increasing crimes in the country. The 22-year-old murder accused Jashwant was her neighbour and was an educated IT professional.
Recent reports suggest that the accused has already committed petty crimes and is not new to breaking the law. Of course what he’s reportedly done this time is no where close to a petty crime.
Here are some facts to know about this educated ‘murderer’:
- The accused gave interviews to the media just as a neighbor worried about the girl missing. He appeared worried and eager to know about her well being.
- A person who lost his bike in the locality came up and filed another complaint accusing him of stealing the bike. The accused parents pleaded the victim and hence no FIR was lodged earlier.
- The accused was zeroed when some of the local residents informed the cops on his suspicious behaviour.
- According to the cops, the accused killed the little girl on February 5th and kept her body in the house for a day. Fearing that the parents may find out, he put her body in a travel bag and burnt her body on the highway.
- The accused was looking for a new job and is a Mechanical Engineer by profession.
