1. Sai Pallavi for ‘Kaatru Veliyidai’: Sai Pallavi was director Mani Ratnam’s first choice for his upcoming movie ‘Kaatru Veliyidai’. There were a lot of rumors around it that Sai Pallavi rejected the movie but actually, it was the director who refused to work with the actress and opted for Aditi Rao Hydari. The movie has garnered so much of popularity and love; the songs and cinematography are beyond brilliant.

 

 

2. Jyothika for ‘Vijay 61’: Kollywood beauty Jyothika has backed out of Ilayathalapathy Vijay’s 61st film. She had, in fact, confirmed her role, heard the script and even took an advance; her backing off is still a mystery. Actress Nithya Menon has replaced Jyothika in ‘ Thalapathy 61’ or ‘Vijay 61’ directed by ‘Theri’ fame Atlee. The ‘OK Kanmani’ star who is super talented has been roped in replacing Jyothika. The Vijay-Jyothika duo was last seen in ‘Thirumalai’ 13 years ago.

 

3. Nayanthara for ‘Theri’: Rumors have it that Nayan was the initial choice for the Mithra character in ‘Theri’, played by Samantha. Due to date issues, Nayanthara could not do the role and had to pass it on to Sam. ‘Theri’ was one of those few films that reached the 100 crore club within a week. Nayanthara appreciated the movie and her ‘Villu’ co-star for an impressive performance during an interview.

 

4. Anupama Parameswaran for Ram Charan’s next: It was revealed that Premam-fame actress Anupama Parameswaran was acting in a lead role in Ram Charan’s next. The actress also confirmed the news. News reports suggest that the budding actress was shocked after she heard the news of her ouster from the unnamed Ram Charan-Sukumar film. Reportedly, she hasn’t been given a reason for the rejection and the team is looking to cast a top actress.

 

5. Katrina Kaif for ‘Enthiran 2’: Strong reports were doing the rounds when there were some unofficial confirmations about Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif playing the lead in Rajinikanth-Shankar’s ‘Enthiran 2.0’. However, it is said that Katrina was not looking to do any films in South due to which South Indian actress Amy Jackson was approached to do the lead.
