5 Movies Of Nazriya Nazim You Must Watch This Weekend!

Nazriya has been loved and supported universally by fans in Kollywood and Mollywood. The beautiful Nazriya made her Malayalam debut as a child artist in the movie ‘Palunku’ and as a lead role in the movie ‘Maad Dad’. She then made her Tamil debut in the movie ‘Neram’ alongside Nivin Pauly. Her last film was the Tamil film ‘Thirumanam Enum Nikkah’ alongside Kollywood actor Jai. She then tied the knot with Malayalam actor Fahad Fazil. Post-marriage she has not appeared in any movie and we dearly miss her.

 

1. Om Shanthi Oshana: It is a female-oriented film that tells the tale of a girl Pooja, enacted by Nazriya. This movie raised the stardom of Nazriya, and she overtook ‘ Mohanlal’ in the number of social media followers. This debut attempt of the director, ‘ Jude Anthany Joseph’, became a box-office hit in the year 2014 collecting crores. It got three Kerala State Film Awards along with the Best Actress Award for ‘ Nazriya Nazim’. Nivin Pauly, Ranji Panicker, and Aju Varghese appear in the roles of other main characters.

 

2. Raja Rani: It is the second Tamil movie of Nazriya. She plays the character, Keerthana who is the lover of the hero, John (‘ Arya’). Nazriya became popular in the Tamil industry after this film. With a host of brilliant actors like Arya, Jay, and Ninethara, this picture became a top hit of the year.

 

3. Bangalore days: In this movie, Nazriya plays the character Divya, who is married to Das (‘Fahad’), and the story progresses through the problems in their married life. Directed by ‘ Anjali Menon’, this film became a top hit of the year making a profit of 50 crores. It also has the specialty that, Nazriya and Fahad worked together for the first time, before their marriage. The movie also has a host of versatile actors, including Nivin Pauly, Dulquer Salmaan, ‘Parvathy’, and Nithya Menon.

 

4. Neram: This film, directed by the debutant director ‘Alphonse Putharen’, made a break in the acting career of ‘Nazriya’. It was made in both Malayalam and Tamil at the same time. Produced under the banner of Winner Bulls Films, it made a collection of around 18 crores. Nazriya got the award for the best debut actress in the 2013 Filmfare Awards for this film. She also won the Asianet film awards for best Star Pair along with Nivin Pauly.

 

5. Maad Dad: This was the first film of Nazriya as the heroine. Directed by Revathy .S Varma, it did not make a commercial profit but had a positive critical reception. Lal, Lalu Alex, Meghana Raj, and ‘ Padmapriya’ appear in the roles of other main characters. Produced by P N Venugopal, under the production company P.N.V Associates, this film got released in January 2013.
