Master the cat eye look or the trend of the winged eye liner with these simple, quick and fabulous steps. Whether it a gel liner, liquid or a pencil, technique is key. We know the struggle of getting that perfect wing and so here is a no-sweat guide to getting the perfect winged eyes.
- Take a steel spoon with a nice round shape. Place the flat end of the spoon on the outermost corner of your eye. Follow the natural line of your lower lash and extend it with the help of the spoon and a thin liner. Now use the rounded edge hugging your eye lid to form the perfect curve joining the first line you made. Now fill in with the liner to make it bold and beautiful.
- Use a scotch tape. To begin, take an inch-long piece of Scotch tape, press it to your hand to let the adhesive become less sticky. Place this piece of tape underneath your bottom lashes at the outer corner of the eye angling it towards the temple. Start lining your eye from the middle of the upper lash. Continue drawing the line past the outer corner making it thinner as you go up. Finish the other half of the upper lash. Remove the tape and Voila!
- The dotting technique is another simple way to get the winged eye right. With your liner, you mark the dots on your eye lid till where you need the wing to go. Then with small strokes you join the dots to form the winged eye. You finish the look with another coat of liner making it more prominent and well defined.
