They are seated in a compartment that has two other newlywed couples also in it, all brides wearing the same attire with a long veil( ghoonghat) covering their faces. Inspired by the life of legendary Punjabi singer Amar Singh, the movie follows the journey of the singer who was brutally killed at the age of 27 in an assassination along with his wife and two other band members. The movie is directed by Imtiaz Ali, who is known for his timeless romcoms and the way he approaches his subjects’ emotional depth and A.R.R. has done the music score. The duo is joining hands again after 9 years for Amar Singh Chamkila, which is yet another reason to watch the film.
