Superstar Venkatesh and actress Rithika singh are teaming together for a “Guru”, the remake of R Madhavan’s boxing drama. Irudhi Suttru was well received among critics and audiences for the storyline and powerful performance of R Madhavan and Rithika Singh. It took the actor two years to build his body to fit the role and that’s a dedication we have seen before too. In contrast Daggubati Venkatesh had only nine months of preparation.
The story is about a fisherwoman being trained by a stern coach to become a champion boxer. Venkatesh learned boxing for his role and as for the actress, she has to train under another Guru!
Rithika Singhis is a mixed martial artist and trained kick boxer. The director Sudha Kongara says that this actress was spotted at a super league fight and that none other would have fitted the role better. The actress received rave reviews for her power packed role in the bilingual.
Will the Guru deliver as powerful punches as in Irudhi Suttru is the anticipation among the fans.
