There have been no findings regarding the exact cause of the accident. However, a short circuit is suspected to be the cause according to a fire official. Annapurna Studios, promoted by noted film actor Akkineni Nagarjuna, is one of the oldest studios in South India.
In a recent press meet, Nagarjuna talked about how it held strong his father’s memories and how much that meant to him while he fought back tears. It was also the set where three generations of the Akkineni family, including the late Nageshwar Rao shot their movie ‘Manam’. However, he further added that he was relieved to know that there were no injuries or loss of life.
Tweeting on social media, the ‘Raju Gari Gadhi 2’ actor said, “Hello my friends, it’s been an emotional week!! We laughed and we cried and now we are ready to kickstart
#Hello promotions this afternoon 2 pm.”
‘Hello’ is a Telugu film starring Nagarjuna’s son Akhil Akkineni in the lead.
