Vishwaroopam 2 Trailer: What Is This Kamal Haasan Film Actually Telling Us??

Is it too complicated that it’s confusing??

Fans of Kamal Haasan have been for quite a while now with respect to his movies. With Vishwaroopam 2 and Sabaash Naidu in the pipeline, fans were promised updates but it yielded to nothing all these years. Until the actor’s production house surprised everybody about Vishwaroopam 2‘s trailer!

The trailer features Kamal Haasan making a comeback as Vishwanath /RAW Agent Major Wisam Ahmad Kashmiri. Much like the first film, this second one will also delve into the topic of terrorism and spying. The trailer opens with Kamal Haasan talking about why being Muslim isn’t bad. “But being a Muslim like you is bad,” he tells an unnamed character. The camera pans to various fighting sequences taking place in a war zone, a prison lock-up, and closed spaces.

Amidst all this, we catch a glimpse of the dreaded terrorist Oma Qureshi, played by Rahul Bose, a coy Ashmitha Subramanian played by Andrea Jeremiah, and focus on RAW Agent Viz’s love life which he shares with Nirupama, played by Pooja Kumar. The trailer doesn’t reveal much, apart from a lot of high octane actions and violent fighting underwater. In a lot of ways, it’s almost similar to what the original film depicted, with the new trailer leaving little to imagine.

The film also stars filmmaker Shekhar Kapur, veteran actress Waheeda Rehman, Jaideep Ahlawat, Zarina Wahab, Nassar, and others.

Jointly produced by Kamal Haasan’s Raj Kamal Films International and Aascar Films, the actor and upcoming politician has also directed the film. The film suffered a huge setback for years with respect to its release. The film will now release on August 10 this year.

The Hindi trailer was released by Bollywood actor Aamir Khan, the Tamil trailer was released by Haasan’s daughter Shruti Haasan and the Telugu trailer was released by Jr NTR.
