According to reports, at least 10 youngsters drowned in water bodies in various parts of Telangana. Charan (9) and Virender (8) were taking a bath to wash off the Holi colors in a tank in the Ayyagaripalli village of Telangana when they drowned. Another two of them drowned in a reservoir near Bommakuru village situated in Jangaon district.
Two boys died in a lake in the Siddipet district. A youth breathed his last when he entered the Godavari river near Bhadrachalam in Khammam district. Another two youth drowned in the water bodies situated in the district of Nalgonda. A student drowned in the SRSP canal situated in the district of Jagtoyal when he went to take a bath and wash off his Holi colors after the celebration.
Officials said that overall, about 10 youngsters were killed and two went missing during Holi celebrations.
